French tips

I am not a big fan of French tips, mainly because I am never able to center them, but today's challenge at Adventures in Stamping was French tips, and I had to participate! I first put two coats of Barry M Denim (I love it!) and then I added the tips using my XL stamper (I got it last week, and stamping is so much easier), Konad White and BM-325. I removed it really quickly because I don't like this type of design, but I am very proud of myself because I was able to center them!

Let someone else choose

Today, the Sunday Challenge in Adventures in Stamping was to let someone else choose a stamp for your mani, so I let my boyfriend decide and he did a great job! He chose BM-314 and Konad White for the stamp and a red polish as a base, OPI The Color Of Minnie. He knew I would love it! Also, I just got a XL stamper and I don't how I lived without it, it makes stamping so much easier and in my opinion it works better that the Konad one. I hope you all enjoy the last hours of the weekend.

Love nails

I got my first Sally Hansen Insta-Dry polish because I found it on clearance and everyone says that they are awesome for stamping, and they are right! I used two coats of China Glaze White on White and then I stamped it with BM-317 and Sally Hansen Sonic Bloom. It is great to have a cheap alternative to Konad, but I think I prefer them.

Flower power

It's Friday! And this weekend I will finally have some time to do my nails properly. I've been wearing a simple blue matte polish for almost the whole week, I can't wait to change it and make some nail art! But today I wanted to show you the mani I wore a few weeks ago. I used Passe Nati Confidente, and incredibly beautiful red metallic red. I tried to stamp with it and it doesnt't work, but as a base color is amazing, is so vibrant. Then I added a few flowers using Essence Stamp Me! Black and BM-12. I hope you all have an amazing weekend!

Candy timeee!

Classes started again, I am back to the routine, homework, meetings, long days... But I refused to let my nails fall into the routine and be boring... So I stamped candy on them! I used Hits Afrodite, which a very beautiful pink holographic polish. I made a mistake, I added Poshé top coat and the holo effect disappeared, lesson learned! I usually use Seche Vite and the holo effect is always very strong, I will have to see what happens next time. Then I added BM-306 with Konad White. I hope you like it!

Chalkboard Nails contest!

Chalkboard Nails is doing a contest, and the theme is Cool Colors & Warm Colors. I really wanted to participate, so I looked through my stash and I found that OPI If You Moust You Moust and Julep Blake were perfect for warm colors. I didn't have any idea of what I wanted to make, but finally I decided to mix different techniques. I used the Saran wrap technique, stripes, flowers and tape. I did that center of the flowers with a black polish from Andrea Fullerton. I hope you like it!

Julep Blake and flowers

I received my 1 cent Julep Maven box a few days ago and I've been playing with Claire, Morgan and Blake a lot! I love Julep polishes formula, and I got three polishes for 1 cent, perfect! I started with Julep Blake, a pastel yellow. I just needed two coats for full opacity, which is great for a pastel polish. Then I added a few flowers with BM-310 and Essence Stamp Me! Black. I don't know what happened but I wasn't able to make it stamp as well as always, but it looked pretty anyway!

Casino holo nails

I want to show you a beautiful holo: Jade Vermelho Surreal, one of the beauties I got on my trip to Brazil. It is a red polish which is stunning, but it chips terribly fast. I know you are not supposed to wear any top coat with holographic polishes, but I couldn’t stand the idea of just wearing it during a day or two, so I added a coat of Seche Vite, and it looked great after that! I also added a stamp using BM-19 and Essence Stamp Me! Black. A perfect mani for a day in the casino!

Urban Outfitters Sea Dust

Today I want to show show Urban Outfitters Sea Dust, a Deborah Lippmann Mermaid's Dream dupe. I don't own the DL one, because I find them quite expensive, but I can tell you that his one is pretty! It has a lot of glitter and microglitter. I was in love with my mani! I used the foil method to remove it and it wasn't very hard. I hope you are all having a great week!

It's college football time!

I have a quick post for you today. I want to show you the mani I wore today to a football game. Can you guess which team I am cheering? I'll give you a hint: GO BLUE! I used Barry M Yellow, and then I stamped it with Kiko 336 (not a good idea, it is not opaque enough) and BM-301. Then I added a few dots and top coat. I had always used Seche Vite, but my supply store didn't have it the other day, so I got Poshé, I like it very much for now! Have a great rest of the weekend!

Aztec print?

After a little break after finishing the 31 day challenge, I'm back! Today I want to show you a mani I did during the summer. I used Colorama Abre Alas (part of the Carnival Collection) as my base color. It didn’t look as beautiful in the bottle, and I thought it was going to be a simple grey, but it has a very special shift between grey and pink. Then I stamped it using Konad Lilac and BM-219. It is a French tip stamp, which I find very difficult to use, but I tried to place it diagonally and it looked great. I wished the Lilac was a little bit more bright, because it was very difficult to see it.
